The City of Zavar & A Guide to the Parenkori

Zavar is a small, cosmopolitan city. As a colony of the Dread City of Vrast, the city was rapidly built over the course of ten years. Nestled alongside the rapids of the Boladûr River, the small walled city is alone in the Vale of Ash. Smoke can be seen drifting from chimney stacks. Most of the buildings are small, with the largest building being a single spire with a clock face where the self-appointed Governor, Nestor the Blacktalon, rules. A single road passes through the town, hugging the river to the north and south. In the distance, the towering, snow-capped mountains fill the horizon.  

Zavar is primarily made up of colonists from Vrast—though some of the native Parenkori have taken to living with the offworlders. The Parenkori are a sentient race that is somewhat like what would happen if you crossed a gecko, spinosaurus, and a human. Pictured is a Ladaré (Red) Parenkori in traditional noble attire.  The approximately five thousand residents of Zavar come from all walks of life. Zavar is surrounded by many farmsteads, ranches, and orchards. It is also full of thriving artisan workshops. People of all races can be found here; though kobolds are viewed with distrust due to their association with the raiding warbands to the southeast of the city.

This supplement is designed to be dropped into any tabletop role-playing game. Set specifically within a large, rather impassable mountain range, this area can be newly discovered.
